The Ethics Governance Network is a platform that facilitates exchange among scholars concerned with the regulation of research ethics in the social sciences. The Network connects diverse disciplinary and methodological views, fostering discussion about topics such as why and how regulatory practices, institutions, and norms emerge and diffuse; how they are implemented; and their practical implications – from whether and how they may foster more ethical research, to their potential censoring effects.
What do we do?
The Network’s primary goal is to serve as a base for scholarly discussion about research ethics and its regulation. We do so by gathering the membership of leading experts in the field, and by keeping an archive with suggested resources.
Who can join?
If you are a researcher working on research ethics governance or related issues, and you wish to join the network, please get in touch using our contact form. We welcome members from diverse fields, methodological traditions and regional interests.
Coordination
The Ethics Governance Network was founded by Dr. Rebecca Tapscott and is currently coordinated by Dr. Tapscott and her project team at the University of York.
